About Us

Young Patriotic Lieutenants (YPL) is a Community-Based Organisation (CBO) established in 2025 in the Coastal Region. We work to promote peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and community security, while supporting drug and substance abuse prevention and rehabilitation. Our organisation advocates for climate change mitigation, environmental conservation, and sustainable livelihoods, and promotes Blue Economy awareness for the sustainable use of water and coastal resources. We empower youth through leadership development, entrepreneurship, skills training, and mentorship, while fostering social cohesion through community engagement and social activities. Additionally, YPL supports charitable and humanitarian initiatives, including disaster response and community relief efforts.

History

Young Patriotic Lieutenants is a Community Based Organisation (CBO) based in Mvita, Mombasa, Kenya. It was established on 15th December 2025 to empower communities through peacebuilding, youth empowerment, environmental conservation, and humanitarian support. The organisation focuses on promoting peace, preventing substance abuse, advocating for climate action and sustainable livelihoods, supporting Blue Economy awareness, and fostering social cohesion through community engagement and social activities.

Young Patriotic Lieutenants also organizes and supports charitable and disaster response initiatives while empowering youth through leadership development, entrepreneurship, skills training, and mentorship. Our work aims to build safer, stronger, and more inclusive communities where everyone can thrive.
